PNG keeps a transparent background. JPG fills it with your chosen background, or white if none is set.

How to create a box mockup

  1. Measure the box. Enter width (front panel), height and depth in centimetres. The 3D carton is drawn at the same proportions, so a flat pizza box and a tall bottle carton both look right.
  2. Add panel artwork. Export each face from your dieline as a separate flat image: front, two sides, top and back. Faces without artwork take the "unprinted faces" colour.
  3. Choose matte or gloss to match the lamination you plan to print with.
  4. Rotate and download a transparent PNG for your store, pitch deck or Instagram launch post.

Getting artwork out of a dieline

Printers supply a dieline: one flat sheet where all panels sit side by side with glue flaps and fold lines. For this tool, crop each visible panel on its own, without bleed or flaps. Keep each crop at the panel's real proportions (for a 16 × 22 cm front, roughly 1600 × 2200 px) so nothing stretches when it wraps onto the box.

Where a box render helps

  • Amazon, Flipkart and Meesho listings while the first batch is still printing
  • Crowdfunding and investor decks for a product that does not exist yet
  • Client approval before paying for a physical proof
  • D2C website hero banners and social media teasers

Frequently asked questions

Do I need artwork for every side?

No. Only the front is needed for a convincing hero shot. Missing faces use the solid colour you pick, which suits plain kraft or white cartons.

Why does my artwork look stretched?

Each face image is fitted to that panel. If the image proportions do not match the width, height or depth you entered, it stretches. Crop the artwork to the panel shape, or adjust the size sliders.

Can I show a lid or an open box?

Not yet. The current tool renders closed cartons. Open lids and sleeves are on our list.

Is my packaging design kept private?

Yes. Everything is rendered in your browser and nothing is uploaded, so unreleased packaging stays on your device.

What size should I export?

2400 px suits websites and social media. Use 4000 px for marketplace images that customers can zoom into, or for print.
